It will create pathways for skills progression and mobility between technical and vocational education and training (TVET) and higher education through the establishment of a skill university, and will raise skill levels to enhance the productivity and competitiveness of industries in Assam. The project will enhance skills and employability of youth and adults, especially women and those from disadvantaged groups, and improve their prospect of getting higher-paying, decent jobs. The project will form part of the strategic engagement of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) with the Government of Assam for economic corridor development, environmental sustainability, and climate change.
